ABOUT THE ATELIER
Room to make
different things.
WRLD is an independent atelier by Lukas Tencer. It brings together games, software, and experiments that grow out of the same curiosity about how things work.
Some projects begin with a world worth spending time in. Others start with a tool that ought to exist. There is room here for both, and for work that changes shape along the way.
Why an atelier?
A workshop can hold more than one kind of work. The small details and the underlying systems belong in the same room. A game, a model, and the tool used to make it can all be part of one practice.
The work is ongoing.
Lilwrld is in development. World Engine is an ongoing research effort. This site shows selected work and the thinking behind it, with development material labeled as such.
Made with tools. Shaped by decisions.
AI is part of the process, alongside code, art direction, and review. The tools help produce and test possibilities. Deciding what belongs, what works, and what needs another pass remains central to the practice.
